We are known for burners that perform beautifully for decades. While retaining the reliability and slender flame of the Ultra™, the NEO™ incorporates the ergonomics of the Stratus™ allowing both burners to be conveniently operated with one hand. What’s more, there’s no loss of power and we were able to shed an amazing 10lb of weight. NEO™ is the lightest double we’ve ever made.

You even have your choice of toggle- or rotary-style Whisper™ valves and attractive hard-anodized aluminum or traditional polished stainless cans, to make the NEO™ truly your own.
Best of all, with some clever engineering and machining, the NEO™ costs no more than a standard Ultra™ or Stratus™.

Features at a glance:

WEIGHT:
Clever machining and a very durable aluminum housing cut the weight of a double by 10 lb. resulting in a total weight with frame of 45lb.
EASE OF MAINTENANCE:
The main block, developed from the Stratus™, can be easily removed from the cans for service. Main valves also come with ports for easy lubrication.
MODELS:
Currently available in Double, Triple, and Quad configurations.
POWER & PERFORMANCE:
The NEO™ has a similar power curve to the Ultra™ & Stratus™ with a controlled flame pattern and effective performance across the fuel pressure range.
COST:
Thanks to clever engineering and machining efficiency, the NEO™ remains the same price as the current Stratus™.

This beautiful design looks different from every side.

Sometimes you want more power, sometimes you want more hands.
The new Safire™ burner from Cameron is the powerful and elegant solution to both of those problems.
The Safire™ is 50% more powerful than standard burners which means you burn less often – which is good for you and your passengers.
Designed for larger balloons – 180 and up, – in most cases the Safire™ allows you to use a double instead of a triple or a triple instead of a quad.  With one less burner, you simplify the fuel system, reduce weight, and best of all reduce cost.

With a Safire™ double you can operate both burners at full power with just one hand – freeing the other hand for the vent line or radio.
The Safire™ also has some unique features like automatically handling condensation buildup to avoid water drips and stains, for example.
If you’re looking to put some fun back into your ride flying, you should try the Safire™.

  • 50% more powerful than a standard burner
  • Single hand operation of both main blast valves
  • extra power allows the use of a double instead of a triple or triple instead of quad**
  • saves weight and cost when down-sizing from triple or quad
  • simplifies fuel management
  • proven performance of the Stratus™ valve-block

**depending on envelope size.

EasyVent™ is our trusty parachute that turns into a lighting-fast deflation system when you need it. What’s more, it’s reversible too! Pull one line and the top gathers into a fabric streamer below the crown ring, leaving an enormous hole that ensures an almost immediate deflation. Pull the opposing line and the EasyVent™ closes again, so you can test it before you fly. And best of all – for high wind landings – once you pull the deflation line, it stays pulled. So you can hold on to the basket handles instead of pulling hard on the deflation line.

Like all of the high quality aircraft-grade materials used in the construction of every Cameron, our materials are purpose-designed, rather than taken “off-the-rack”. It’s more expensive, but definitely worth the premium. And our fabric is no exception. It’s not surprising that fabric manufacturers work closely with, and offer their newest products to, their biggest customers. And for specialized balloon fabrics, customers don’t come bigger than Cameron.

Our exclusive fabrics are processed from the weaving mill to the finished product by a single manufacturer. For this reason, quality control is ensured from start to finish over a long and complicated process. Furthermore, we don’t experiment at your expense with radical fabric changes. Our proven fabric undergoes continual evolutionary improvements, rather than the revolutionary “scrap and start anew” philosophy others embrace — throwing the “baby out with the bath water” can bear hidden surprises, and that approach can cost You the balloon owner.

Our Double-Seal blast valve solves the age-old problem of damaged “O” rings and cold weather leaks. If the pressure-bearing “O” ring leaks (the ‘primary’ seal in the diagram above), the secondary seal prevents a blast-valve leak and allows the propane to vent harmlessly into the burner can through an ‘escape tunnel’, where it harmlessly combusts — instead of being forced out the valve stem and into the basket — and onto your passengers.

If an ‘O’ ring leaks in other brands of burners, the pilot would be forced to shut the burner off or execute an immediate emergency landing. With a Cameron burner, if the first ‘O’ ring fails, the vented chamber between the ‘O’ rings channels the fuel to the pilot light where it harmlessly combusts. As a result, pressure build-up behind the second ‘O’ ring is eliminated, allowing the pilot to continue flying on to find a suitable landing site — all without having to turn the burner off.

Interestingly enough, Cameron introduced the double ‘O-Ring’ design well before the Shuttle Challenger disaster. Space shuttle rockets now incorporate the same double ‘O-ring’ and vent system as in all Super, Ultra and Sirocco Cameron burners.

And last but certainly not least, you can even lubricate the “O” rings yourself — through the lubrication port — which means fewer missed flights and fewer trips to your local repair station.

Cameron’s second generation MK IV burner, the Super Double has a strong reputation generated by many years of use. Incorporating the proprietary Cameron double ‘O’ ring’ blast valve and the quiet and powerful Whisper burner, the Super has many of the features of its successor, the Ultra burner. The Super is available with vapor pilot lights and our traditional inner burner frame (the monoblock gimbal or EasyUp is not available on this model), and like all Cameron burners, the Super’s burner frame is equipped with our exclusive articulated corner pole sockets that work in concert with our FlexiRigid system to ensure maximum flexibility.

And finally, the construction of the Super is Cameron quality throughout, built only with exclusive purpose-designed and purpose-built components made of quality materials like stainless steel. Unlike other burners on the market, there are no Rego valves or other critical fuel parts on the Super that can be found in your local plumbing store – everything is purpose-engineered and purpose-built.

Laser-made burner jets let you easily tune your burner to your particular environment!

Choose from several styles which let you customize according to your needs: extra power, extra quiet — or even, a combination

Ultra: The Third Generation Mark IV burner.

Whether you need a single burner (with all the features of a double), or a double, triple — or even a Quad, when passenger loads or extreme flying conditions demand it — the Ultra Series offers you a wide range of choice.

The Ultra incorporates the proprietary Cameron blast valve (double ‘O’ ring intra-seal pressure relief chamber), and is standard-equipped with liquid pilots, which incorporate a tiny but effective pressure regulator mechanism designed into their base to assure constant pilot light performance regardless of the fuel pressure. Of course, if you prefer, the time-proven vapor pilot is available as a no-cost option.

The Ultra’s main burner jet ring features laser-made jets, that let you tune your burner to your environment. And it’s powerful and very quiet Whisper burner is controlled by a valve integrated into the main manifold block and includes triple valve-stem seals and a unique lubrication system to assure trouble-free operation. Finally, for ease of use, the UltraGrip handle gives you all the advantages of both trigger and lever action, plus the ability to operate the burner and redirect the flame with only one hand.

A balloon for odd couples calls for an adjustable-height burner frame so you can switch pilots — and heights — in flight.

With the touch of a finger, a simple-to-use lever controls the gas-charged cylinder that determines the height setting. With this system, infinite settings are possible – with no preset heights, you can set your burner at exactly the height that works for you.

  • 7″ of height adjustment
  • Can be adjusted in flight
  • Locks in place, press the release lever to adjust
  • No heavy lifting – the weight of the burner is held by the pneumatic strut
  • Infinitely adjustable — not limited to preset heights

Cameron’s optional EasyUp™ burner frame allows the burner to be separated from the frame — which means you can completely install the burner and upright assembly without lifting any weight above your waist!

For easy installation before flight, just lay the basket on its side and install the burner into the outer frame with the attached quick-pins — presto, you’re ready to go!

EasyUp™ is a trademark of Cameron Balloons.

The articulated joint on each corner of the burner frame not only absorbs shock and torque on landing, it also makes setting the burner up a one-person job.

All Cameron burners are standard-equipped with articulated corner joints – and are backed by free replacement grommets for life. Grommets are replaced with simple tools in just a few minutes, and are owner-replaceable.

Cameron’s Whisper burner, standard on all our burners, is great for showing off your balloon on night tethers. But more importantly, this powerful auxiliary burner (80% as powerful as the main burner) is a quiet way to float by people and livestock without disturbing them. Think of this as your Good Neighbor valve.

• Separate fuel path – fully redundant
• 80% as powerful as the main burner
• Triple-seals for peace-of-mind operation

Integrated in every Cameron burner is our reliable pilot light with built-in ignition. Purpose-designed to be reliable with low maintenance, Cameron’s precision crafted burner parts are truly functional works of art.

• Purpose-engineered
• Purpose-built
• Liquid or vapor fuel feed

Standard on both the 15 and 20 gallon tank.

• Soft grip feel for easy handling and extra passenger protection

• Embossed “Cameron” lettering

All Cameron tanks use hand-tightened hose end fittings. With no tools needed, it’s an easy connection to make.

Plus, a handy check valve prevents leaks from occuring on disconnect should you accidentally leave the hose full of fuel.

Connect one tank directly to each burner, or combine several tanks through Cameron’s solid-aluminum fuel manifold block.

• Solid aluminum construction

• Anodized

• The dust cap (black) protects the connection for the burner hose

The valve is open when the red lever is vertical, closed when it is horizontal.

Cameron 42 x 52 Aristocrat with custom-embroidered Pontiac tank straps. Note the Aristocrat’s Single-Weave pattern, rugged rope handles, and built-in tank strap holes.

Cameron 42 x 58 Aristocrat with Ultra Double burners. Note that this basket displays the richly-embroidered “CAMERON” tank strap sleeves that come standard with all baskets equipped with tanks. Choose from various embroidery colors to match your basket – or personalize them with your name or sponsor’s logo as an option!

42 x 58 Sport Basket. Note the Double-Weave pattern above, featuring 2 strands of rattan per row, and the wooden toggle handles for easy handling.

Echo Double T-basket with Ultra Triple burners (with anodized aluminum heat shields), central pilot compartment and four passenger compartments. The bolster is fitted with navy suede. Note all the handles in the passenger compartments, and the optional cordura padded walls.

Eight standard models of “T” and “Double T” partition baskets offer features that benefit both operator and passengers.

Features like the all-woven floor that absorbs shock on hard landings, multi-height steps that ease entry and exit, and numerous internal handles positioned for security. Passenger comfort is further enhanced by optional padded sidewalls and cushion floors.
The all-woven floor design also makes the basket light-weight for ground handling, while the top quality rattan, thick scuff leather, hardwood skids, and rugged stainless steel top frame form a basket that is strong, durable, and attractive.

Mounted on the burner frame, our tether lugs are set to the perfect angle for inflation harnesses, while double corner lugs distribute the load for additional redundancy.

All baskets are fitted with custom-sized heavy latigo leather that is hand-stitched for that perfect fit — you won’t find rough overlaps here, but rather, a perfect seam for strength and beauty.

Personalize your new basket, whether a Sport or Aristocrat, with your choice of many different colors of accent weave. Use a single color, or mix and match to get that perfect fit with your envelope!

Cameron’s all-weave floor eliminates the weak junction between a wooden floor and wicker walls — the natural breaking point for hard floor basket designs.

This basket shown here is fitted with optional Poly-Skid protectors, which are mounted to the hardwood skids with stainless steel hardware. Poly-skid protectors extend the life of your basket runners, plus make it easier to move the basket on hard surfaces.

Our CushionFloor is color-matched to your basket’s interior, and offers a stable but cushioned footing for those less-than-feather-soft landings. This basket is also fitted with the optional Padded Wall, which adds further protection and comfort for passengers.

Our document pouch is cleverly fitted with a velcro-removable Certificate pouch for easier paperwork at your favorite balloon event — plus a handy striker pouch that keeps it readily accessible in case of an emergency, yet is removable with a quick-buckle on refuelling.

Custom-embroidered tank straps — with your personal identification or sponsor name — really dress up your basket and add extra promotional value for your sponsor. Each custom strap comes as a sleeve, so you can keep them looking sharp by removing them for laundering in your washing machine!

To meet with the ever-more-demanding international specifications, we have consolidated our line-up of tanks to bring you the most advanced and rigorously tested fuel tanks on the market.

Available in three capacities, 11-, 15-, and 20-gallons, our tanks are made of an advanced ‘duplex’ stainless steel to make them both super-strong and light weight.

All Cameron tanks have a full collar design to protect fuel fittings and an attractive padded collar for easier handling.

Power. Performance. Comfort. Reliability. Independent research and testing, using realistic real-world fuel pressures, has shown consistently that Cameron burners continue to outperform all others by combining high power, low noise, full redundancy, and a feature-rich design.

Furthermore, Cameron uses only purpose-designed and -built components for its line of burners, and offers ballooning’s only blast valve with a proven double ‘O’ ring leak-free seal (more »). Superior designs yield superior performance, full redundancy for total peace-of-mind, and easy maintenance — for example, our blast valve ‘O’rings can be lubricated by the owner/operator without valve disassembly.

Fast-stopping EasyVent™. Powerful Burners in Triple and Quad configurations. Bright anodized aluminum heat shields for maximum passenger comfort. Lightweight Titanium Tanks. The highest Lift Ratings in the Industry. Baskets with an unparalleled strength-to-weight ratio and 6,000 pound load ratings. And Hyperlast™ fabric that doesn’t go porous over its useful lifetime.

It’s not one single feature that makes a Cameron the most capable ride balloon available — or the best-selling passenger balloon in the world.

It’s how these great features work together in combination — the whole is definitely greater than the sum of the parts.

Believe it or not it’s a smaller, lighter and simpler concept. Yet the new Hopper cuts no corners when it comes to features, including a four point “fail safe” suspension system that transmits base loads to the envelope, and a silky-smooth rotation system which incorporates sealed, stainless steel ball bearings.

A clever design enables the very minimal base to accommodate any Cameron tank, from a 10 gallon aluminum to a 15 gallon stainless steel – all with no modifications.

The harness technology – taken from the world of paragliding – provides in-flight security and easy transition for landing from the sitting to standing positions. It’s adjustable for tall – or not so tall – pilots, and even incorporates a footrest.

Specially developed, the burner is fitted with quiet multi-hole jets plus a separate whisper unit.

Weight without the fuel cylinder is just 36 pounds, and when packed for transport, the pack measures 43 x 16 x 15 inches – well inside aircraft baggage limits.

Bertie Bassett

The Famous Footwear shoe company has operated a highly successful special-shape balloon program for more than 12 years.

Under the management of Sky Aces of Madison, Wisconsin, the shoe pictured here is but one of four that have been built for Famous Footwear over the years.

The Scottish Piper

Built for Muir Moffat, the Piper is a truly remarkable balloon.

The Piper’s tartan is reproduced using Cameron’s ink-jet technology, by which the pattern is actually printed right into the fabric.

The Eagle

This incredible special-shape was originally built for an Australian entrepreneur who wished to gift his country with the image of an eagle.

Operated by Sky Aces of Madison, Wisconsin, the second generation of this balloon continues to operate for sponsors at major events all around the world.

The tremendous detail in the bird’s feathers was achieved with semi-realistic air-brushed artwork.

The Jaguar XK-8

There’s nothing quite like a flying car to get you through traffic! Even James Bond would be envious of this car’s capabilities…

Special attention to the headlights and windshield (indeed, all the glass) in this car gives an impression of realism.

Plus, the faithful match to the real car’s profile demonstrates Cameron’s ability to engineer and build a balloon that defies the shape that hot-air naturally assumes — that is, an inverted tear-drop shape like the conventional N-type balloon flying alongside!

Famous Footwear Shoe

The Famous Footwear shoe company has operated a highly successful special-shape balloon program for more than 12 years.

Under the management of Sky Aces of Madison, Wisconsin, the shoe pictured here is but one of four that have been built for Famous Footwear over the years.

The City of Nassau Bay Space Shuttle

The city of Nassau Bay, Texas wanted an identity and an effective means by which to promote their Aviation Museum, Space Center Houston.

In the first four days of performance, the Nassau Bay Space Shuttle attracted media coverage worth more than three times the construction costs of the balloon alone.

The Shuttle balloon has enhanced the City of Nassau Bay’s reputation around the world.

Disney’s Magic Kingdom

Disney World has promoted itself, Euro Disney and Disney Japan with Cameron hot-air balloons shaped like, of course, Mickey and Donald, not to mention their famous castle pictured here.

The balloon program is among the longest running media marketing programs ever launched by Disney, the undisputed masters of media.

Can we help you build some of the same magic?

When it comes to special-shape balloons, experience is everything. We should know, as Cameron invented the special-shape more than 25 years ago. In fact, more shapes bear the name “Cameron” than those built by all other balloon manufacturers combined. That’s more than 400 Cameron shapes in total. And not just simple shapes — such as round balloons with appendages added — but the most complex balloons ever engineered and built, like the famous Disney castle, Malcolm Forbes’ Harley Davidson motorcycle, and the Space Shuttle, not to mention numerous others.

How does that experience translate into benefits for you? To start with, it means the most faithful and accurate representation possible, whether your idea for a shape is based on a living thing, a character or icon, or an inanimate object. And when you combine this engineering talent with our artwork capabilities, such as ink-jet printing for super-realistic representations, it also means the most eye-grabbing shape possible. Why water down a great marketing idea with a poor facsimile?

And then there’s benefits that improve the manageability of the balloon — like envelope weight. Owing to superior engineering based on years of experience, our designs are geared to being as light-weight as possible, so you can be efficient on crew and pack-up. And that can translate into more nimble operations, and a higher performance success ratio for flights and tethers.

Plus, we don’t overburden you with more final deflation ports (for final pack-up) than you really need. The last thing you want to do prior to your next inflation is to be sealing dozens of velcro-sealable ports inside your envelope.

And of course, all of our shapes come equipped with the same great performance features that typify all Camerons. Features like the PressureScoop (another Cameron invention), which ensures that your shape inflates in breezy conditions — and stays inflated. And our proprietary fabrics, like Caliber™, that incorporates a biocide to kill harmful microbes that like to attack fabric coatings in the nether regions of your shape, and Hyperlast™, the legendary fabric that simply doesn’t go porous.

So if you’ve got a great idea that you would like to render larger-than-life, do it justice and put Cameron’s wealth of experience to work for you. After all, a great idea wasted is a terrible thing.

The ultimate racing machine – the ZL-Racer is a thoroughbred specifically designed to give you the edge in competition. Based on the proven Z-type, its ultra smooth surface and streamlined profile enhance climb performance and directional stability. If you’re looking for a high-performance racer, this is it!

Available in eight volumes — 56, 60, 65, 70, 77, 84, 90, and 105 — the ZL is standard-equipped with a parachute top.

Constructed from 24 gores that provide a super-smooth shape with zero horizontal stress, you can make your ZL even smoother by having it built with Cameron’s exclusive Kevron™ load tapes.

The Z-Type is the most exciting envelope ever. With a racing heritage that rivals even the legendary N-type, the “Z” can be your personal racer, whether flying in serious competition or just for fun.

Engineered with the same great shape and smoothness as the Cameron N-type, the “Z” is a 24-gore smooth envelope, designed with numerous panels that have a horizontal orientation. And that’s where the artist comes in. Take your creative energy to new heights with hundreds of panels and more than 16 colors. Spirals, checkerboards, solids, or a combination – they’re all possible! Or add artwork to a super-smooth envelope for promotional work, or your own personal design. Either way, the “Z” can cater to your individual needs.

The Cameron Viva offers you a great combination of strength and light weight, and its unique “tear-drop” shape makes it a favorite among sport pilots. Why? They appreciate the lightness provided by an envelope constructed from just eight bulbous gores.

Also, the Viva’s design allows for simple artwork, while the numerous horizontally-cut panels offer virtually unlimited color patterns without the need for special cuts.

The N-Type provides maximum visibility with a perfect, almost flat surface to display even the largest and most complicated artwork. Computer-designed to a natural form which yields zero horizontal fabric stress, the loads are carried by closely-spaced, vertical load tapes.

Constructed from 24 gores (28 to 32 on larger models), the N-Type envelope is the premium choice for effective promotional use.

There is such a thing as a good compromise.

The O-type is an excellent compromise between the engineering efficiency of the large-gored Viva envelope and the advertising effectiveness of the smoother N-series envelopes.

A slightly bulbous 12-gore design, the O-series is ideally suited to fun-flying, passenger-carrying, or promotional work.

Purpose-built for passenger operations, the A-Type offers a wide range of envelopes that will lift from 5 to 18+ persons – from the sport-sized 105 up to the industry’s greatest workhorse, the A-315, with 6,300 pounds of gross lift.

Twenty slightly bulbous gores, each with numerous horizontal panels, provide tremendous strength without compromising artwork potential. And like all Camerons, the A-Series boasts a large “Loaded” mouth™ and Nomex PressureScoop™, which together make even the windiest inflations easy. This is especially important for balloons that have to work hard for a living.

With a Concept series envelope you can combine the versatility of low cost, light-weight, semi-smooth gores (12 on the C-60 and C-80, 16 on the C-100) with the great performance of a Cameron.

The Concept is ideal for fun-flying, training, competition, or for a small passenger operation. And the lowest-cost Cameron doesn’t translate into a compromise on quality. We’ve simply introduced more cost-effective designs that reduce fabric wastage — every component is Cameron quality throughout.

With Cameron, you have more certified envelope styles than with any other manufacturer, ensuring you that we have a balloon size and style to suit your needs. Ranging through our seven series of envelopes, from the 8-gore “V” to the 24-gore smooth “N”, “Z” and “ZL” types, choose from nearly 60 different models of Cameron envelopes to suit your needs – and your budget.
