Nomex® Mouth Panels
All Cameron envelopes come standard equipped with Nomex® heat and fire retardant base panels at the mouth/throat — even in our low-cost Concept series. Our Nomex® panels are color matched to your envelope, rather than matched by sewing standard envelope fabric onto a fire-retardant liner (found in some brands). Two heads may be better than one, but in this case, one layer is definitely better than two. Less weight. Less cost. More attractive. More effective.
Loaded Mouth™
The exclusive Cameron Loaded Mouth™ ensures efficient inflations every time — even when you’re short on crew. Inflate a Cameron by yourself and you’ll see that our Loaded Mouth™ speaks for itself. Try that with some of our competitor’s balloons and you’ll likely pay a visit to your repair station.
How does it work? It’s pure geometry. The unique angle of our flying wires creates an outward force on the mouth, causing it to stay open all by itself on inflation — and on rapid descents.
PressureScoop™
Together with the Loaded Mouth™, the Cameron-invented full Nomex® PressureScoop™ makes even the windiest inflation ‘a breeze’. Whether you’re tethering in front of the cameras, or trying to sneak in a gusty evening flight, this standard Cameron-invented feature gives you an edge.
Hyperlast™ parachute
All envelopes come standard equipped with a parachute sewn from our rugged, field-proven Hyperlast™ fabric – like all our fabric, a Cameron exclusive. Legendary for zero porosity over its warranted lifetime (and usually much longer), Hyperlast™ is warranted for 600 hours and 6 years.
Mechanical Advantage Parachute Pulley system
Mechanical advantage designed into the parachute rigging makes the Cameron parachute valve easy to open and virtually eliminates the rebound snap shock on hard landings. Even lightweights can comfortably open the top on a Cameron, and our parachute valves are sized to make sprightly flight maneuvers easy. And when you are ready, the parachute line easily pulls the top in for a fast, smooth deflation.
Tailored Envelope Panels
Cameron balloons look good year after year for the same reason that they perform so well. Every panel, every seam, and every load tape is shaped, sewn, and positioned to add strength and reduce stress. Individual fabric panels are tapered on all four sides to exacting tolerances, creating a smooth-curved gore shape and eliminating the wrinkles that indicate stress. Not only is this aesthetically pleasing, but it also distributes load forces evenly throughout the balloon. Don’t let uneven stress give you wrinkles.
Internal Horizontal Load Tapes
Horizontal load tapes — the ultimate rip-stoper — are sewn on the inside of the envelope, where they don’t intrude on the balloon’s appearance (especially important on balloons with commercial artwork). Why criss-cross the pattern you worked so hard to design?
Kevlar or Stainless Steel suspension cables
A no-cost option, choose from either stainless steel or Kevlar suspension cables. Our Kevlar cables are owner-replaceable, and can be fitted in a few short minutes.
Owner Maintenance Manual
All Camerons come with a full unabridged manual of the Continued Instructions for Airworthiness (Maintenance Manual) so that you can get to know your system even better.
Heavy-duty Cordura carrying bag
Each balloon comes with an elegant yet durable water-resistant Cordura carrying bag complete with lots of handles and an internal pocket that lets you pack the bag into a small, convenient pouch to take in flight with you. Hang it on an upright to dry out, or make your crew happy by having the balloon packed away by the time they arrive at the landing!

EasyVent™
If your flying area has tight landing sites or high winds, or if you just want the peace of mind to know you can ‘land on a dime’, you should consider our widely-praised EasyVent™ rapid deflation system. Its unique design allows normal in-flight venting, together with a fully reversible rapid-deflation mode for the end of the flight. The EasyVent™ is available in most model types from 70,000 cubic ft. and up.
Rotation Vents
Rotation vents are very useful for maneuvering the down-side of the balloon to face forward, or making a logo or artwork visible to spectators. Not only must the Rotation Vents spin the balloon effortlessly, but they must seal easily without leaking. Cameron rotation vents are engineered to do just that. Rather than just slitting the panels and sewing a vertical tape (which is inexpensive but not very effective), our vents have scalloped edges that hug the panels and create an effective seal.
Kevron™
Perhaps one of our biggest secrets is the development of our exclusive Kevron™ load tapes. Available on certain sizes of 12, 16, and 24 gore models, Kevron™ is the high-performance load tape that fits inside the French-felled seam. Far stronger and lighter than any nylon or polyester tape, Kevron™ ‘disappears’ inside the seam, making your envelope more beautiful, and corporate logos more visible. What’s more, it saves considerable weight (27lbs. fewer on a Z-90), making your envelope easier to handle. What you DON’T see is what you get!
Additional Hyperlast™
While Hyperlast™ is standard in every Cameron’s parachute, adding more to your system is an available option. Hyperlast™ is the ultimate rugged fabric that gives the strength and performance of some fabrics that are twice the weight. Its combination of thicker high-tenacity fibers, silicone elastomer coating on both sides ensures maximum longevity. In fact Hyperlast™ may never go porous!
PreVent™
Racers are really put through their paces. Whether it’s a tricky competition launch, moving to another launch site with seconds to spare, our PreVent™ is a solution. The PreVent™ is designed to give you added control to hold the parachute firmly seated during a difficult inflation – even when the Velcro tabs are not in place. As an added benefit, it can also be used to actively hold the parachute closed if you encounter turbulence during a rapid climb.

Clear Windows
Need better visibility before making a climb in congested airspace? Try our clear windows. They’ll give you the peace-of-mind that you’re clear above without having to radio your crew or a team-mate.
Scoop Liner
Also available is a heat-reflective scoop liner. This reflective, Kevlar™-backed fabric protects the Nomex™ from prolonged radiant heat or the occasional misdirecting of the burner – after all, we’re all human.
Artwork
Naturally, you may want to dress-up your envelope even further by adding your own custom graphics or a company logo. No matter what your style, our artwork techniques will work for you. Whether inlaid logos, simple appliqued fabric designs, or complex inkjet printed art (pictured left), we’ll make your art look good.
