Meet the Stratus NEO™ Burner

We are known for burners that perform beautifully for decades. While retaining the reliability and slender flame of the Ultra™, the NEO™ incorporates the ergonomics of the Stratus™ allowing both burners to be conveniently operated with one hand. What’s more, there’s no loss of power and we were able to shed an amazing 10lb of weight. NEO™ is the lightest double we’ve ever made.

You even have your choice of toggle- or rotary-style Whisper™ valves and attractive hard-anodized aluminum or traditional polished stainless cans, to make the NEO™ truly your own.
Best of all, with some clever engineering and machining, the NEO™ costs no more than a standard Ultra™ or Stratus™.

Features at a glance:

WEIGHT:
Clever machining and a very durable aluminum housing cut the weight of a double by 10 lb. resulting in a total weight with frame of 45lb.
EASE OF MAINTENANCE:
The main block, developed from the Stratus™, can be easily removed from the cans for service. Main valves also come with ports for easy lubrication.
MODELS:
Currently available in Double, Triple, and Quad configurations.
POWER & PERFORMANCE:
The NEO™ has a similar power curve to the Ultra™ & Stratus™ with a controlled flame pattern and effective performance across the fuel pressure range.
COST:
Thanks to clever engineering and machining efficiency, the NEO™ remains the same price as the current Stratus™.

World Air Games 2015

Our own Andy Baird qualified to participate in the World Air Games last December.  Held in Dubai, the event hosted competitors from most air sports, including ballooning.

The flying area presented some unique challenges, but also provided the backdrop for some spectacular flying.   Here’s a link to the very last flight (not part of the competition) from Dubai’s famous World Islands.  The mission was not only to take off in challenging conditions with surface winds taking us farther away from dry land, but to attempt to land at the closing ceremonies of the Games — located at Sky Dive Dubai, Palm Drop Zone.

Of the 40 or so balloons who ventured out to the islands, a little over half flew, and about a dozen or so were able to navigate their way to the drop zone.  The flight provided some spectacular views, and incredible memories.

Enjoy the video.

Happy 2016!

From everyone at Cameron Balloons, we wish you a very happy and prosperous new year.  May it also be full of ballooning!

Four New Models

Based on customer requests we are introducing four new models, which are currently undergoing certification.

We are expanding the A-Type range to include two smaller models the A-77 and A-90. We are also adding an interim size of ride balloon, the A-225. An A-77 is currently under construction and an A-225 has just been recently delivered.

In addition to the new A-Type models, we are also expanding the ZL Racer to include a ZL-105. While not the ideal size for a national championship, the skinnier profile of this envelope makes it very maneuverable and fun to fly. It’s also an ideal base for certain special shapes.
